What hotel in the Playa Dorada complex is the best for young males to party?
Q. I am planning a trip to the Dominican Republic in Feb with a group of friends and we want to party while we are there. I have heard that the playa dorada complex in puerto plata is a good place with a good nightlife. Out of the hotels in the complex which one do you think is best for young males to party?
Asked by Shawn O - Thu Jan 15 22:26:42 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Probably Blue Bay Villas or Fun Royale/Tropicale for a party atmosphere. I personally like the Gran Ventana the best out of all the resorts in the Playa Dorada Complex - it's one of the nicer ones and it's very close to the nightclubs (Roadway, Hemingways, Mangu, etc.). The Barcelo Puerto Plata is okay also - and again it's very close to the plaza where some of the nightclubs are located. Have a fun trip.

Q. I live in a townhouse complex, we have three kids. The complex are three units, 4 aprts in each. Our building is the one for kids, in the end unit are two people that don't have kids and ave been making complaints saying the kids are running around to much etc. They even went as far aa telling the lanlord that our kids broke the front door when it was the moving compant they had.How can I combat them.

A. You should either file a complint with your rental agency or management. Provide them with your lease specifics, ie that you're living in the "child friendly zone." Advise your mgmt company that because you had moved into the "child friendly zone" you were under the impression that children were allowed to act as children do. And due to the "new, non-parent" that had moved into the building your quality of life is being diminished. And you may want to advise them that if needed you'll be contacting an attorney reference harassment if the actions by these other neighbors do not cease.

What's the difference between complex carbohydrates and simple sugars?
Q. Aren't they basically the same and make you gain weight? Why do some people think complex carbohydrates or starches are good for you while simple sugars or simple carbohydrates are not?
Asked by fastheidegger - Tue Jan 27 14:19:43 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Both have the same amount of calories (4 per gram of carbohydrate) but their nutritional value is very different. Complex carbohydrates are what you find in whole grains (brown rice, whole wheat, quinoa, etc), beans/legumes, vegetables. Complex carbohydrates are better for you, and are an essential part of your diet, because foods with complex carbs have high amounts of fiber in them, which improves digestion. Foods that are more digestible have their nutrients better absorbed into the body and give you better energy. Foods with complex carbohydrates also have more protein. Simple carbohydrates include fruit, which should be a part of your diet as well. Foods with lots of added sugar, like cake, candy, soda and honey, have little… [cont.]

A. Each part within a computer is an independent machine, in some sense. The Hard Drive could be used to run on its own, without being part of the computer. The Power Supply could be used to power other units, not just the computer. The Processor is an entity by itself, although it may not be too useful for it to be on its own. The Memory could be, and it is, used in other than just computers. The Mother Board is perhaps not useful in other than what it is for, the computer. The same could be said about other computer components. Of course these components have been tailored to have the specific function that they were designed for. Examples of things that start off simple and become more complex?
Q. I need examples of things we can readily identify with that started off simple, and as time went on became more and more complex. Life is definitely one. But let's move away from that and give examples of other things in our universe. I generally want to support the argument that all things in our universe start off simple and over time become increasingly more complex.

A. One word: Snowflake. A snowflake starts out as a simple six-sided water crystal. (The six-sided shape is the result of the angles of the H and O atoms in the H2O molecule.) But as the crystal falls through a cloud, more and more water molecules cling to it. The pace at which molecules cling to the growing crystal depends on (a) the humidity, or density of water, at different parts of the cloud, and (b) the precise temperature at the different parts of the cloud. As a result the six corners all accumulate the identical pattern of water molecules. The result is a very complex water crystal. So from a simple six-sided crystal, the result is complexity like this: --- Other examples: A solar system: It starts out as an amorphous, [cont.]

We have a trailer thing a couple blocks from us for recycling but I doubt anyone here uses it by the look inside our dumpster. I wish they would put one next to our dumpster/ maybe you could do that. Maybe make some type of one for those plastic and cans. I think people are just too lazy to take it a few blocks. You might want to send them a flier about it. If it directly effects your garbage pick up (money) , you might use that as incentive to help keep down costs and possibly keep their rents lower. Is an apartment complex liable for someone becoming sick from their spraying of a downstairs apartment?
Q. My father recently became seriously ill from our apartment complex negilgence. The complex sprayed chemicals and painted the downstairs apartment below my father's apartment. They did not fumigate or open any windows after doing this. As a result, these fumes came through our ventilation late at night and sickened my father. He is a heart patient with chronic lung disease. This aggraveted his condition and has put him in the hospital. Do we have a case against this complex and what kind of attorney handles these matters?

A. Before starting legal proceedings you should give the other party an opportunity to make it right. Contact them in writing and explain the situation that occurred and the cost that have been associated with the incident. If what you ask for is reasonable for the situation they may be willing to settle. give them a reasonable time to settle so they can not drag on. If they are unwilling to settle you would need to find a lawyer that specializes in liability cases.

Q. I am under impression both words have similar meanings, so what is the difference between lolita complex and pedophilia?
Asked by Polgas - Thu Jun 15 00:41:13 2006 - - 5 Answers - 2 Comments
A. Lolita complex refers to pornographic art, anime on girls aged between 12 to 17. Some times it is used to refer people who are attracted to such art. Pedophilia--> Pedo means child and philis means love, derived from greek. It refers people who have physical attraction towards both young boys and girls.. (while lolita refers to only young girls). Though nowadays pedophilis is much referred to perverts who molest young boys or girls, the actual meaning of pedophilia refers to people those who are just attracted to young boys or girls and does not molest or misbehave with them. Hope I could give some clarification on this to you

What is the difference between vitamin B complex and vitamin B compound?
Q. I am trying to buy some good vitamin B's, But I am confused. I see complex and compound, but I dont understand the difference. Please elaborate.
Asked by sumguy - Sun May 7 19:03:02 2006 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Vitamin B12 is also called cobalamin because it contains the metal cobalt. This vitamin helps maintain healthy nerve cells and red blood cells [1-4]. It is also needed to help make DNA, the genetic material in all cells [1-4]. Vitamin B12 is bound to the protein in food. Hydrochloric acid in the stomach releases B12 from proteins in foods during digestion. Once released, vitamin B12 combines with a substance called gastric intrinsic factor (IF). This complex can then be absorbed by the intestinal tract.

A. They can sue you for breach of contract. If they win..they will get a judgment against you. They will then hire a collection agency/lawyer to actively collect on the judgment. The judgment will be on your credit report of at least 10 years..or 20 years if the landlord renews the judgment. The collection agency/lawyer will garnish your wages, levy your bank accounts, seized your IRS returns and place liens on any property (car, home) that you may own now or in the future.

A. The answer is B. Complex carbohydrates are polymers of simple sugars. Links for this answer: Complex carbohydrates are also known as starches and are made of three or more linked sugars. Complex carbohydrates on the other hand are made of a string of simple sugars which take much longer to be processed by the body than simple sugars.

How do you determine whether zeros of a polynomial are complex conjugates?
Q. What is a complex conjugates? And how do you determine whether the zeros of the polynomial are complex conjugates?

A. If all coefficients of the polynomial are real, all non-real roots will be complex conjugates. This follows from the fact that all polynomials with real coefficients can be factored into first and second degree polynomials with real coefficients, and all quadratic equations with real coefficients but no real roots have distinct roots that are complex conjugates.

What to do when your apartment complex refuses to fix problems?
Q. I live in an apartment complex that refuses to fix things when they go wrong in the apartment. For example, my bathtub does not drain properly. It takes about two to three hours for it to drain after you take a shower. That is not how a tub should be. They have came up to fix it before and blamed me for putting a mop down the drain and then a washcloth, both of which I have never done. They refuse to come up and fix anything else with it. The sink is the same exact way. I dont know what I should do to get them to fix it. Is there a number to call or somewhere I could look to get help on getting my apartment to fix things? I dont know what my options are. Moving isnt an option right now. Im looking for maybe some legal action I can take.

A. Report it to your city's or town's code enforcement office. I hope this helps you out. Ciao.
